Softball Recap: Ottawa Hills Takes a Loss

Ottawa Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Swanton Bulldogs, falling 19-5. If the Green Bears were looking for revenge after losing 15-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ottawa Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Swanton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ottawa Hills will take on Cardinal Stritch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Green Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Swanton, they will challenge Genoa Area at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
