Baseball Recap: Hidden Valley Titans vs. Cave Spring Knights        
        
		
            Hidden Valley extended their winning streak  to three  on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 6-4 in the process. They were the clear victors by  a  15-7 margin over the Cave Spring Knights. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
The team  relied heavily on  Braxton Nichols, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. He has become a key player for Hidden Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-4 otherwise.  Ryan Walding was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.

 Hidden Valley was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .417. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in May of 2024.
As for Cave Spring, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
 On Cave Spring's side,  Evan Lee was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. That  triple marked the first that  Lee has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sam Urgo, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Hidden Valley will square off against Glenvar at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Highlanders will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cave Spring, they will face off against William Byrd at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
