Baseball Recap: Peniel Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Peniel Baptist Academy lost against Hawthorne on March 6th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Peniel Baptist Academy lost 21-9 to Hawthorne. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holden Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Peniel Baptist Academy's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Hogg, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Peniel Baptist Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Peniel Baptist Academy's record now sits at 6-8. As for Hawthorne, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
