The Crestwood Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 63-53 to Romulus. Crestwood has not had much luck with Romulus recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Samaira Searcy was a one-man wrecking crew for Romulus as she dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Sa'Ryah Roberts was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and three steals.

Crestwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Romulus, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestwood will be home for the holidays to greet Mater Dei on Monday. One thing working in Mater Dei's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Romulus won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Renaissance at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. Renaissance presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Romulus in Michigan (Renaissance is ranked eighth, while Romulus is ranked 200th).
