A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars faces off against the Sonora Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Escalon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Ripon at home to the tune of 38-6 on Monday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.

Escalon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmine Barron out in front who picked up 109 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards. Arianna Velasco was another key passer, throwing for 158 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of her passes.

Meanwhile, Sonora didn't have too much trouble with Hilmar at home on Monday as they won 29-12. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Escalon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Sonora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
