Basketball Recap: Grand Meadow Takes a Loss

Grand Meadow lost against Southland back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grand Meadow Superlarks had to suffer through a 91-37 loss at the hands of the Southland Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Superlarks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Rebels are ranked 61st).

Grand Meadow has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Southland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Meadow has already played their next game (against Mabel-Canton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southland will head out on the road to face off against Kenyon-Wanamingo at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Southland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
