Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Gallatin County's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

After only one run in their last contest, Gallatin County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Shelby County on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with an 11-8 win over the Rockets. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Gallatin County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Shelby County, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Gallatin County will welcome Henry County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelby County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
