Volleyball Recap: Andrew Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Andrew had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. For the Thunderbolts, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Andrew never let Homewood-Flossmoor on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18.

Isaac Okewole paced Andrew's offense, picking up ten kills. Okewole got some help from Aidan Aguayo and his 25 assists.

Andrew's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrew will take on Willowbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will face off against Stagg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
