It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Madison Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They never let the Tharptown Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The result kept Madison Academy happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 25th.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Micah Knowles, who's now up to four this season.

Madison Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six matchups. As for Tharptown, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Academy will welcome Brooks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Brooks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Madison Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tharptown, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Clements at 7:00 p.m. Tharptown will be up against Clements' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.33 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
