Softball Recap: Ezekiel Academy Takes a Loss

Ezekiel Academy easily dispatched Macon-East Montgomery Academy on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Ezekiel Academy Knights fell just short of the Fort Dale Academy Eagles by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Hannah Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Sarah Vick was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ezekiel Academy fell to 2-1. As for Fort Dale Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Ezekiel Academy will take on Crenshaw Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Dale Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
