Baseball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Northwest Cabarrus's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Cox Mill Chargers on Monday. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Northwest Cabarrus got a good showing from Connor Landers, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Northwest Cabarrus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Cameron Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Johnson's first of the season.

Northwest Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cox Mill, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Northwest Cabarrus will take on South Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cox Mill, they will face off against A.L. Brown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be A.L. Brown's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
