Basketball Recap: Iowa Park Takes a Loss

Iowa Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. Their2024 ended with a 56-41 loss against the Seymour Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 719th, while the Panthers are ranked 300th).

Iowa Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Seymour, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Iowa Park will face off against Jacksboro at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seymour, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tatum at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
