Basketball Recap: Hot Springs Comes Up Short

Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 49-30 bruising from the Custer Wildcats. If the Bison were looking for revenge after losing 65-38 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hot Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Custer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Hot Springs will be playing at home against Bennett County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bennett County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hot Springs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Custer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-43 win against Belle Fourche on the 8th.
