Baseball Recap: Alvirne Broncos vs. Londonderry Lancers

Alvirne extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-13 in the process. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Londonderry Lancers. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Charlie Crawford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Bebris, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Londonderry, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games.

As for Londonderry, they will head out to square off against Pinkerton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Astros will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
