Baseball Recap: Sparta Trojans vs. New Covenant Academy Warriors

Sparta proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the New Covenant Academy Warriors 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 4, 2024.

Ben Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Trent Eisman looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sparta is undefeated when Eisman allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
