Pennington dropped down to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were dealt  a  51-0 defeat at the hands of the Piedmont Bulldogs. The  game marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.
 Connor Timmerman threw for 36 yards  on eight of 22 attempts.
As for Piedmont, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 40  points or more this season.
 A big part of Piedmont's  win came down to the chemistry between  Cole Austin and his top target  Rollie Pinto. Austin threw for 211 yards and three  touchdowns on only 13 passes while  Pinto gained 158 total yards and four touchdowns.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pennington is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Westbrook Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Piedmont will  face off against  rival Weaver  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
