Recap: Union Knights/Damsels vs. Moniteau Warriors
Even though the Union Knights/Damsels have not done well against the Moniteau Warriors recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Union took down Moniteau 48-31. For Union, this counts as revenge for the 63-54 defeat Moniteau walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Union's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Smith, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Owen Bish, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Union is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Moniteau, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7.
Union will take on Keystone at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keystone is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Moniteau, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarion Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarion Area is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
