Baseball Recap: Penney Drops Season-High Score on Albany

Penney extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-16 in the process. They fell 15-12 to the Albany Warriors. On the bright side, the 12- run effort marked the Hornets' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Albany, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.

For Albany's part, Chase Cline was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Cline has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Anthony, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Looking ahead, Penney will head out to challenge Breckenridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Albany, they will face off against Bishop LeBlond at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
