Basketball Game Preview: Warroad Warriors vs. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators

Warroad is 9-1 against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Warroad Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators at 7:15 p.m. Warroad knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 games -- so hopefully Badger/Greenbush-Middle River likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Warroad was fully in charge, breezing past Crookston 88-53. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 56-18 loss at the hands of Kittson Central. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, the Gators couldn't push the score so high this time.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Warroad, their win bumped their record up to 19-1.

Everything came up roses for Warroad against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warroad since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
