Softball Recap: Parrish Community Now 14-1 over Last 15 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Parrish Community rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Lennard Longhorns.

Emmaline Van Beck looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Baylee Fields and Jersie Rohde did most of the damage at the plate: Fields went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run, while Rohde went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. That's the most RBI Fields has posted since back in March.

Parrish Community has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lennard, they moved to 9-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Parrish Community has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Lakewood Ranch on the 1st. Lennard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
