Recap: Llano Yellowjackets vs. Blanco Panthers

The Llano Yellowjackets entered their tilt with the Blanco Panthers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Llano snuck past Blanco with a 49-45 win on Friday. Given Llano's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Blanco is ranked 977th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Llano's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Weston Baker led the charge by scoring 14 points. Dylan Kennedy was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Llano pushed their record up to 19-6 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Blanco, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Llano will challenge Florence at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Florence has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Blanco, they will head out on the road to square off against Ingram Moore at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ingram Moore is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
