Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Taravella

Calvary Christian Academy not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th. They blew past the Taravella Trojans 6-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Not much got past Blake Sundberg, who gave up just two hits to keep Taravella off the board. Sundberg has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Preston Bielec, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Salvador Lopez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Calvary Christian Academy now has a winning record of 9-8-3. As for Taravella, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Calvary Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against King's Academy on the 3rd. As for Taravella, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Western on the 3rd.
