Softball Recap: Saint James Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Saint James owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Fort Hill Sentinels by a score of 5-0. For the Saints, this counts as revenge for the 8-5 win the Sentinels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The result came thanks to Lily Schlotterbeck ?26's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tenley Mullendore ?27, who went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Everett Sechler ?26, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Saint James is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
