Football Recap: Mendon Skates Past Concord with Ease

Mendon won the last time they faced Concord and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets took their match with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over the Yellowjackets. With the Hornets ahead 50-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Owen Gorham went supernova, rushing for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. James T Lux was in the mix too, providing Mendon with three TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Mendon proved: they limited Concord to a paltry 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Zak Iobe for the heroic effort on defense: he. Mendon didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.7.
