Basketball Recap: Olympic Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

After losing to Palisades the last time they met, Olympic decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Olympic Trojans snuck past the Palisades Pumas with a 59-55 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

JD Terrell was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds. De'Angelo Hall was another key player, putting up seven points.

Olympic was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palisades only racked up five assists.

Palisades' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tymon Simpkins, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurek Fenn, who posted nine points.

Olympic pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Palisades, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympic will host Myers Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Olympic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season. As for Palisades, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ballantyne Ridge at 6:00 p.m. Palisades is facing Ballantyne Ridge at the right time seeing as Ballantyne Ridge is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
