Bangor's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Hartford Huskies get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Isabelle Horvath made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Alexis Wisniewski was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Ariana Pearce was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Bangor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Hartford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12-1.
