Volleyball Recap: Braidee Lamb and Aliah Martin Secure Win for Union

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Union walked away with it. They won by a set and slipped past the Grantsville Cowboys 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in August.

Leading Union to victory were Aliah Martin and Braidee Lamb. Martin had 17 digs and two assists, while Lamb had ten assists and two aces. That's the most aces Lamb has posted over her last three matchups. Autumn Brokaw also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Despite the loss, Grantsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luiza Lupiao had six digs and two aces.

Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. As for Grantsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-17.

Union has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Ogden on the 28th. Grantsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
