Preview: Buena Vista Longhorns vs. Iraan Braves
Buena Vista is 7-1 against Iraan since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Buena Vista Longhorns will head out on the road to challenge the Iraan Braves at 7:30 p.m. Buena Vista is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Buena Vista didn't have too much trouble with Comstock on the road as they won 42-24.
Buena Vista found their leader in underclassman Sebastian Porras, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Porras hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Valdez, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Iraan stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Comstock 69-40 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Iraan.
Buena Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Iraan, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.
Buena Vista beat Iraan 44-33 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does Buena Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will Iraan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
