Westover lost against Monroe back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Westover Patriots fell  57-47 to the Monroe Golden Tornadoes. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Sydney Donaldson, who  posted 19  points in addition to six  rebounds and five  assists. Donaldson has been hot recently, having also posted three or more  steals the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Savannah Donaldson, who  scored nine points and three  steals.
 Monroe found their leader in sophomore  Kie'Aundria Acree, who  dropped  a double-double on 31  points and 18  boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which  Acree has scored at least a third of Monroe's points.  Taylor Mckinzy was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 16 points and nine  rebounds.
Westover's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-6. As for Monroe, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record  this season.
 Westover has already played their next game,  a  59-49  defeat against Dougherty on the 31st. As for Monroe, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  47-24  win against Bainbridge on the 31st.
