Basketball Game Preview: Evangel Christian Lightning vs. Wiregrass Kings

Having just played yesterday, the Evangel Christian Lightning will get right back to it and host the Wiregrass Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evangel Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Thursday, everything came up roses for Evangel Christian against East Central HomeSchool as the team secured a 74-35 win. The contest marked the Lightning's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass suffered their biggest loss since February 14th on Tuesday. They took a blow against North Florida Christian, falling 79-39. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Kings' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Wiregrass has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Evangel Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Evangel Christian against Wiregrass when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured a 76-48 victory. Will the Lightning repeat their success, or do the Kings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
