The Piedmont Hills Pirates will head out to take on the Lincoln Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lincoln will be up against a hot Piedmont Hills team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Everything went Piedmont Hills' way against Pioneer on Friday as Piedmont Hills made off with a 14-1 win.

Ava Delagrande was a standout: she scored three runs while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Delagrande wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Piedmont Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for Piedmont Hills: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.
Meanwhile, while Lincoln put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Oak Grove. Lincoln blew past Oak Grove 13-0. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Carina Reuterskiold made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Reuterskiold was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, Olivia Diaz and Jocelynn Perez did most of the damage at the plate: Diaz went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI, while Perez went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Keona Perez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Piedmont Hills pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, their record is now 5-2.
Piedmont Hills' speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. Piedmont Hills has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lincoln, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Piedmont Hills continue to outrun the ball?
Piedmont Hills suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Lincoln in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Piedmont Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
