West Carteret is 6-0 against Dixon since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the West Carteret Patriots will get right back to it and host the Dixon Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. West Carteret will be strutting in after a victory while Dixon will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, West Carteret didn't have too much breathing room in their game against White Oak, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win.

Meanwhile, Dixon played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Swansboro, falling 50-23. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Pirates are ranked 218th).

West Carteret will have to keep a close watch on Alivia Nokes and Bracey Edens, a pair of players who had a big impact on Dixon's prior game. Nokes posted ten points, while Edens earned no points and five rebounds. Brianna Weiss also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

West Carteret has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Dixon, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-8.

Everything went West Carteret's way against Dixon in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as West Carteret made off with a 41-18 victory. Will West Carteret repeat their success, or does Dixon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
