Soccer Recap: Westminster Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against First Assembly Christian last Thursday, Westminster Academy came back down to earth. Westminster Academy fell just short of the St. George's Gryphons by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Westminster Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. George's apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Westminster Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. George's, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Coming up, Westminster Academy will head out on the road to challenge Memphis Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. George's, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Rockvale at 8:00 p.m. Rockvale's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
