Volleyball Recap: Bruton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bruton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Jamestown Eagles, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Eagles since September 13, 2022.

Bruton's offense was headlined by Annalise Wood and Addison Newman Newman, who picked up four kills apiece. Wood also shared the team's lead in assists with Savannah Crawley: they picked up four each. Kristen Goodwell controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for Jamestown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Bruton since September 13, 2022.

Leading Jamestown to victory were Kira Van Deusen and Peyton Tilley. Van Deusen had 22 digs and two aces, while Tilley had five digs and three aces. That's the most digs Tilley has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bruton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Gloucester on the 11th. As for Jamestown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Poquoson on the 12th.
