Basketball Game Preview: Lee County Bobcats vs. Leslie County Eagles

The Lee County Bobcats will challenge the Leslie County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Wednesday, Lee County was beaten by Powell County 94-59. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Leslie County came up short against Knox Central on Thursday, falling 68-48. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Leslie County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Hacker dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tripp Brashear, who posted two points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Leslie County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Leslie County, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
