Desert Hills is 8-2 against Hurricane since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Thunder will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Desert Hills is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Dixie. The Thunder blew past the Flyers 3-0 on Tuesday.

Desert Hills walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Hurricane gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pine View with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

While Hurricane won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 28-26.

Desert Hills skirted past Hurricane 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
