            Baseball Recap: Sweet Home Panthers vs. Starpoint Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Sweet Home won the last time they faced Starpoint and things went their way  on Friday too. The Panthers walked away with  a   6-2  victory over the Spartans. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Panthers.

 Rocco Panepinto made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits. Those  seven  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Joe VanDusen, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Tom Caruana, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
Sweet Home now  has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Starpoint, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Sweet Home has already played their next matchup,  an  11-10  loss against Frontier on the 3rd. As for Starpoint, they will host Williamsville East  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
