Basketball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Wyoming Wolves

Northview and Wyoming are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Northview Wildcats will challenge the Wyoming Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Northview is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: St. Mary's Prep, who was ranked fifth at the time (Northview was ranked 22nd). Northview was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 49-48 to St. Mary's Prep. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wyoming came up short against South Christian on Friday, falling 72-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered against the Sailors since January 8, 2019.

Wyoming's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Northview took their win against Wyoming in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 93-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
