After flying high against Lebanon  on Tuesday, Turpin came back down to earth. The Spartans fell  3-1 to the Kings Knights on Thursday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Turpin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 28-26, 25-23,  25-18.
 Defeat or not, Turpin got some senior leadership from  Mallory Thorn and  Carmen Helgason.  Thorn  had 15  digs and three assists, while  Helgason  had ten  digs. Thorn is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 15 or more in each of the last five games she's  played.
  Kennady Horsley went supernova For Kings.,  getting 18  digs and four  aces. That's the most  digs  Horsley has posted since back in September.  Alana Burke also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Turpin's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Kings, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record  this season.
 Coincidentally, Turpin and Kings will both be playing Mason the next time they take the court. The Spartans will  host the Comets at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday, while the Knights will head out to face them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
