Flag Football Recap: Elkhart Skates Past Laville with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elkhart). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the LaVille Lancers 58-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Zoie Lucchese was a one-woman wrecking crew as she threw for 279 yards and six TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing. Those six passing touchdowns gave her a new career-high.

Elkhart didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Samiyah Hernandez and Jocie Tarver. Hernandez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Elkhart's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for LaVille, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Elkhart didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-12 victory against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 8th. LaVille does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
