Soccer Game Preview: Vicksburg vs. Riverside + Official Tickets

The Vicksburg Gators will venture away from home to take on the Riverside Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Riverside will have to contend with a Vicksburg squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since the 4th. Vicksburg and Canton finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Dacian Brown was the only thing that stood between the Gators and a shutout considering he scored both of the Gators' goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Meanwhile, Riverside unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Greenville last Thursday, falling 11-0. Riverside have struggled against Greenville recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

With that draw, Vicksburg's record moves to 1-4-2. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Vicksburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverside in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
