Melrose is 8-0-2 against Woburn Memorial since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will face off against the Tanners at 4:15 p.m. Melrose's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Melrose came up short against Wakefield Memorial and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Melrose have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Woburn Memorial was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against Lexington, falling 3-0. Woburn Memorial haven't had much luck with Lexington recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Woburn Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Melrose, they now have a losing record of 6-7-2.

Melrose beat Woburn Memorial by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
