Softball Recap: Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds vs. Westwood Panthers
Lincoln Park Academy scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They never let the Westwood Panthers onto the board and left with a 17-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Lincoln Park Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Paislyn Ankiel was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kanosha Hartwell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Lincoln Park Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Westwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Lincoln Park Academy will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Central at 4:00 p.m. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Westwood, they will head out on the road to take on Morningside Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morningside Academy is coming into the contest with four straight victories at home, so Westwood will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
