Basketball Recap: Basis Independent Silicon Valley Beats More for Their Fourth Straight Win

Basis Independent Silicon Valley came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 71-51 margin over the More Knights. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley was led to victory by Justin Wang and Andrew Lin. Wang went 6-for-13 to rack up 18 points in addition to five assists and four blocks, while Lin went 6-for-13 en route to 20 points along with seven boards and five assists. Wang's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Hoppner, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite the loss, More had strong showings from Anthony Selway, who posted 17 points, and Conrad Schaper, who had nine points and seven boards. Schaper continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for More, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley has already played their next matchup, a 60-45 win against Pinewood on the 22nd. More does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
