Basketball Recap: Fraser Comes Up Short

Fraser extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 9-9. They lost to the Cousino Patriots on the road by a 70-56 margin. While losing is never fun, the Ramblers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Patriots are ranked 147th).

As for Cousino, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games.

Cousino got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nicholas Farr out in front who went 7-for-15 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Farr's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Brandon Cade was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Coming up, Fraser will be playing at home against Sterling Heights Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cousino, they are taking a road trip to face off against Utica Ford at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th.
