Soccer Game Preview: Northview vs. Wilson

The Northview Vikings will face off against the Wilson Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Northview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Northview sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Covina. The win was all the more spectacular given the Vikings' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Colts are ranked 288th).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Wilson was not quite West Covina's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0.

Northview has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8-2 record this season. As for Wilson, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-12.
