Basketball Recap: Lewistown Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lewistown and Illini Bluffs squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lewistown had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Illini Bluffs Tigers, falling 58-24. The Indians have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lewistown's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carsyn Braun, who posted four points and six boards, and Abby Wiegand, who scored seven points.

Lewistown's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Illini Bluffs, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Lewistown nor Illini Bluffs have any future games scheduled.
