Bella Sauer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Pinal, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs.

Martin Luther's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Portledge by a score of 28-13 later that day.
