Northwest waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 64-51 victory over the Tuslaw Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-53 back in December of 2024.

Tuslaw's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destiny Dulkoski, who posted 11 points and seven boards. Breanna McCabe was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Northwest pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points over those games. As for Tuslaw, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 33-28 victory against Triway on the 1st. As for Tuslaw, they have also already played their next game, a 39-30 win against Canton South on the 1st.
