Basketball Recap: St. Louis Park Finds Home Court Redemption Against Johnson

There's no place like home for St. Louis Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past the Johnson Governors with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 67-53. The 67-point effort marked the Orioles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

St. Louis Park moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Johnson, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.

St. Louis Park and Johnson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. St. Louis Park (ranked 51st) will meet Washburn (ranked 219th) at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Johnson will face off against Highland Park at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025 up 118 places (43 vs. 161).
